Plant Scientist

Planet Farms, founded in 2018 in Milan, is a leading vertical farming company. It’s currently present in the main distribution chains with its line of salads and pesto.

The company is in strong development in Italy and abroad and Planet Farmers today work at the production plant - the brand new Cirimido Plant (Como, Italy) at the R&D Center on the outskirts of Milan, as well as at offices in Italy (Milan), Portugal (Coimbra), the United Kingdom (London) and the Netherlands (Eindhoven).

We are looking for a Plant Biotechnologist - Plant Scientist that will be assigned to the Research and Development Department and will be under direct supervision of the Research Manager

Activities:

• Design and run experiments in controlled environment to define growing conditions for optimal quality and yield
• Collect plant phenotyping and environmental data to drive insights in crop performance
• Analyze data and report experimental results
• Manage internal analysis reporting
• Collaborate with external partners

Knowledge:

• Master Degree in Agronomy, Ideally a PhD related to CEA
• At least 3 Years of experience

Skills:

• Ability to work independently in a highly collaborative and dynamic team
• Curiosity and passion of innovative technologies in plant science
• Ability to clearly communicate scientific concepts to cross functional teams
• Good attitude for manual work
• Strong knowledge of MS Office

Language skills:

• Italian C1
• English C1

Nice to have

Strong team working skills, analytical attitude, communication and interpersonal skills, a dynamic and flexible approach.
